On Friday, November 16, 2018,
a ceremony to honor the memory of Anson Burlingame was held at the library of
the city of Burlingame, the Bay Area city named after him. This is a project my
friend David Chai and I have been working on for many years. It’s most
gratifying to see this come to being. His contribution to the US China relations has been unique in
the history of modern civilization.
